About the role
As a Chef De Partie at Boatshed Market, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our renowned restaurant/market located in the vibrant beachside suburb of Cottesloe, Western Australia. This full-time position requires you to work as part of a skilled culinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
What you'll be doing
Prepare high-quality dishes to the restaurant's exacting standards.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food cost management and inventory control.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold the restaurant's culinary excellence.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic in the kitchen.
Ensure all food preparation and service adheres to relevant health and safety regulations.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef De Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant
Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavoursome dishes
Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Relevant formal culinary qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
