About the role
We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our passionate culinary team at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in the stunning Lamington National Park, Queensland. This is a full-time position and you will play a key role in the daily operations of our busy kitchen.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals for our guests
Taking responsibility for specific stations within the kitchen, ensuring consistent and efficient food production
Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
Contributing to the ongoing development of our menus and food offerings
Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff
Collaborating with the wider hospitality team to deliver an exceptional guest experience
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a similar high-volume restaurant or hotel environment
Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, menu planning and inventory management
Excellent knife skills and a keen eye for detail
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced produce to create delicious, visually-appealing dishes
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Current Food Safety Supervisor and First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain)
