Position Description:
As a Restaurant Chef, you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role involves both hands-on culinary expertise and effective kitchen management to deliver an exceptional dining experience. You will report to the Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and organizing the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with menu specifications.

• Creating and developing innovative menus, considering cost and seasonal availability of ingredients.

• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

• Supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and high standards in food production.

• Managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining budgetary controls.

• Ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and compliance of the kitchen with food safety regulations.

• Coordinating with management to align food offerings with the establishment’s goals and customer preferences.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.

• Relevant culinary qualifications are highly regarded.

• Expertise in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train kitchen staff effectively.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
