The Stardust Hotel's Italian Bistro is entering an exciting phase of growth. With a focus on house-made pasta, quality produce, traditional technique and refined execution, we are building a kitchen team that operates with restaurant-level standards.
We are seeking an experienced Chef who takes genuine pride in their craft and is ready to contribute to a venue raising the bar in Western Sydney dining.
This role is suited to a chef with strong restaurant training who thrives in a structured, disciplined kitchen environment and is looking for weekly casual hours.
The Role
As part of the team, you will:
• Take full ownership of your section during prep and service
• Execute dishes with consistency, precision and pace
• Work collaboratively on seasonal menu development
• Maintain high-level presentation standards
• Mentor junior chefs and apprentices
• Uphold strict food safety and operational standards
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years experience in a quality restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and traditional techniques
• Experience with fresh pasta and/or artisan pizza highly regarded
• Calm, composed presence under pressure
• High attention to detail and pride in clean, organised work
• Professional attitude and long-term mindset
• Valid work visa or Australian work eligibility accepted
We are not looking for someone who just "gets through service."
We're looking for a chef who cares about every plate leaving the pass.
What We Offer
• Stable casua hours with opportunity if you want to come onboard full time
• A well-equipped, professionally run kitchen
• Leadership that values standards, structure and growth
• Opportunity to progress within an expanding hospitality group
