Chef (Casual Ongoing) - Defence Hospitality Site

We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join a high-performing team at a large, fast-paced hospitality site in East Sale. This is a casual ongoing opportunity, offering 30-38 hours per week with consistent work for the right candidate.

About the Role

You will support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals within a large-scale mess hall environment, catering to a high volume of personnel daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and function meals
• Support Lead Chefs in daily kitchen operations
• Work across multiple mess facilities within the site
• Operate large-scale commercial kitchen equipment
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Assist with buffet-style service (up to 150 covers)
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards

About You

• Previous experience as a qualified Chef in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
• Flexible availability across rotating shifts, including:
  • Early mornings (from 5:00am)
  • Afternoons and evenings
• Australian Citizenship (essential)
• Ability to pass a police check
• Available for an immediate start
