Last Chance Tavern – South Hedland, WA

Last Chance Tavern is looking for an experienced Cook or Chef to join our team in South Hedland, WA.

This is a full-time position working 5 or 6 days per week, depending on what is agreed.

We are a growing business and are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and passionate about food.

Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate.

This is not a FIFO position, however we will pay for a return flight to any Australian capital city every 6 months.

What We Offer

The Pay

• Competitive salary plus super.

• Starting salary based on your experience and skills.

• After 3 months, if you demonstrate the required skills and knowledge, your salary may increase by 10%.

Accommodation

• Accommodation available for the right candidate.

Bonuses

• $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

• $2,000 Bonus after 6 months

• $3,000 Bonus after 12 months

That's up to $6,000 in bonuses during your first year.

About the Role

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.

• Maintain food quality and presentation.

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.

• Assist with stock control and stock rotation.

• Keep the kitchen clean and organised.

• Work well in a fast-paced team environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Cook or Chef experience.

• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.

• Reliable and able to work under pressure.

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred.

• Relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications.

• Food Safety Certificate preferred.

Additional Information

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
