COMMIS CHEF [ Full Time]

About the role – COMMIS CHEF – Greenbank Services Club
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the catering team at Greenbank Services Club, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Catering Manager/Executive Chef, Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests at the 2026 Queensland Club of the Year and Boutique Dining Restaurant of the Year (Gardens Steak and Seafood).

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a diverse range of dishes from our menus across the 2 kitchens
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
• Carrying out allocated kitchen tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintaining clear communication with fellow team members and management
• Participating in the rotation of kitchen duties and responsibilities
• Contributing ideas and suggestions to develop and enhance our menu offerings
• Ensuring a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment at all times

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery and equivalent industry experience in a high volume fast paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Value a team-lead environment
• Enthusiasm for creating innovative and delicious dishes
• Pride in delivery and presentation at all times

Salary Range

Salary commensurate on qualifications and experience circa $75,000-$85,000
