This premium pub group is on the lookout for a standout full-time Head Chef and Sous Chef for busy city venues.

Here’s what you’ll need – 

Head Chef - A minimum 2 years experience and proven experience as a Head Chef in similar pub properties.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar or same role

  • Exceptional proven ability in managing kitchens

  • Experience in both a la carte, pizza and function catering essential

  • Experience in running more than one Kitchen within the one venue

  • Experience in delivering high volume in condensed time periods (lunch and dinner)

  • Have a strong track record in high volume event days with flawless management of Kitchen operations to expedite food delivery while ensuring standards are upheld

  • Experience in rostering, recruiting, training and mentoring staff

  • Knowledge and ability to develop and cost recipes

  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and monitor progress

  • Experience in leading multi-cultural teams

  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

  • Credentials in health and safety training

  • Qualifications in culinary science or related certificate

  • Available 7 days/nights a week with ability to work across a rotating roster

  • Approximate hours of work is 38 hours per week.

    Sous Chef - A minimum 2 years experience. You're solid as a Sous and the Head Chef can rely on you to get the job done when he's not there. 

  • Your CV should show your career progression and cookery qualifications.

  • Be passionate about the industry and have a strong interest in staying abreast of food trends.

  • Be interested in learning/helping the Head Chef to write fully costed menus, liaise with suppliers, conduct monthly stocktakes and help manage cogs.

  • Be strong on both prep and service with availability to join your team.

  • Scale up or down in-line with business pace while maintaining a quality product delivered on the plate.

  • Have the ability to manage your brigade.

  • Be energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to manage upwards and downwards.

  • Form strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Be organised, motivated, responsible, accountable and be accustomed to meeting deadlines.

  • Maintain food safety standards and hold current certification.

  • Have strong administration skills and be computer proficient.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - English is a must. 

  • Honesty, trustworthy, reliability and accountability are all something you'll need to stand by.
