Kolapasi Indian Canteen is a fast-growing and highly regarded South Indian restaurant brand known for authentic regional flavours, traditional recipes, and exceptional customer experiences across Australia.
We are currently seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced Chef to join our Gold Coast kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality, authentic Indian cuisine.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes with consistency and quality
Managing kitchen operations during busy service periods
Assisting with menu planning and seasonal specials
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Monitoring stock levels and minimising wastage
Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
Ensuring presentation and flavour standards are maintained at all times
Relevant chef qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management - AQF)
Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar style of cooking
Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, spices, curries, biryanis, and tandoor cooking
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
Team-oriented attitude with a positive work ethic
