Cafe & Catering Chef

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cafe/ Catering Chef to join our team at Caramel Cafe in Helensvale, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in delivering fast-service, freshly prepared meals and creative regular catering services to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold dishes for our cafe menu and catering services

• Ensure all food is presented to a professional standard and meets our high-quality standards

• Responsible for menu development, recipe creation and cogs budget.

• Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering and kitchen team supervision

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment

• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cafe or Catering Chef

• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques

• Excellent time management and organisational abilities

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Current Food Safety Supervisor certification.
