Experienced Chef

The role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team at White Horse Ranch Cafe' in Albany Creek, Queensland. As an Experienced Chef, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests, contributing to the overall success and growth of our thriving cafe.

This is a full-time role based in our cafe located in Albany Creek, Queensland.

Weekend availability is required for this full-time position.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation

2. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items, ensuring they align with customer preferences and industry trends

3. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

4. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests

5. Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge

6. Contribute to the overall success of the cafe by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment

2. Strong technical skills in preparing a variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, with a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients

3. All-day breakfast expertise is essential for this position, with the ability to prepare and execute comprehensive breakfast menus throughout operating hours.

4. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle the demands of a busy kitchen

5. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

6. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

7. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to provide a warm and welcoming dining experience

8. Familiarity with food safety regulations and a commitment to upholding food hygiene standards

9. Australian work rights are required for this position

10. Certificate III Commercial Cookery qualification is required to demonstrate formal culinary training and competency.
