ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking an experienced Chef Supervisor to join our team at Air HQ Glenbrook. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to chefs who enjoy leading teams, maintaining high standards and delivering consistent, quality food in a structured environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support kitchen team across daily service and functions
• Oversee food production, ordering and stock control
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Manage menu execution, forecasting and waste control
• Support operational and service requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Experience in a Chef Supervisor or leadership role
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Well organised with ability to manage priorities
