ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This part-time role is ideal for chefs looking for flexible hours in a supportive and structured environment.
• Prepare buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Support kitchen operations including stock and deliveries
• Ensure quality, presentation and portion control
• Work as part of a team during service periods
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in commercial kitchens or bulk catering
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Reliable with a team focused approach
• Above award rates
• Flexible part-time roster
• Minimal late nights or split shifts
