Lead Kitchen Operations in Aged Care 

Cater Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations at one of our aged care sites in the Northern Suburbs of Western Australia.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine culinary expertise with meaningful impact, leading a dedicated team to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the wellbeing of residents every day.

Working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you’ll take ownership of daily kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food standards, and create a positive dining experience for residents in care.

What You'll Be Doing

As Chef Manager, you will oversee the full kitchen operation while leading a committed culinary team.

• Leading, mentoring and developing kitchen staff
• Overseeing food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent quality
• Managing large-scale catering operations efficiently
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
• Preparing texture-modified and specialised dietary meals (IDDSI)
• Managing stock control, ordering and kitchen administration
• Contributing to seasonal menus and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are a confident, hands-on hospitality leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality food and developing strong teams.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• A valid Driver’s Licence
• Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Head Chef or similar leadership role
• Strong experience managing kitchen operations and leading teams
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine passion for aged care and improving resident wellbeing
