RAFFA (WA) Pty Ltd, trading as The Lazy Corner is looking for a talented Chef to join our team at The Lazy Corner, one of the Perth Hills' favourite café destinations.

Nestled in beautiful Mundaring, surrounded by stunning bushland, walking trails and lakeside escapes, The Lazy Corner is known for serving fresh, flavour-packed food with plenty of gluten-free, vegan and dietary-friendly options. We pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where both locals and visitors love to gather.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Chef, you'll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and our customers coming back for more. Your responsibilities will include:

·         Preparing and cooking a diverse range of café and restaurant-style dishes

·         Creating and refining menus alongside management

·         Developing exciting gluten-free, vegan and specialty menu options

·         Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards

·         Leading, mentoring and supporting junior kitchen staff

·         Keeping the kitchen organised, efficient and service-ready
Managing stock, ordering supplies and monitoring food costs

·         Working with quality local suppliers and fresh ingredients

·         Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

·         Contributing fresh ideas for seasonal specials and new menu items

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is passionate about food, organised under pressure and ready to make their mark. You'll ideally have:

·         AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

·         1–2 years' experience working as a Chef

·         Strong menu planning and food preparation skills

·         Experience catering for a variety of dietary requirements

·         Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen operations

·         Experience supervising or mentoring kitchen staff

·         Excellent time management and organisational skills

·         A positive attitude and team-first approach

·         A genuine passion for delivering exceptional food experiences
