Sitting on King Street smack bang in the middle of Newtown, The Bank is an Inner West institution where everybody is welcome. Situated above The Bank, Waywards brings live music to Newtown every Friday and Saturday night. We are proud to be the home of a live music institution and support up-and-coming artists, local icons and historical favourites to perform and support each other and the Australian music community.
From burgers and steaks to an almighty schnitty, our menu showcases seasonal pub fare and keeps our patrons coming back for more.
The Role
We are on the hunt for experienced Casual Chefs to join our close knit crew!
Whether you are a master of the grill, quick and steady on larder section, or a gun at prep we have something for everyone and can give you exposure across a number of sections. Being part of Solotel, a major hospitality group - there is plenty of opportunity for career progression and elite training to get you on your way!
Working in a well equipped kitchen, with a supportive and highly experienced Head Chef at the helm, the kitchen runs like clockwork and is well organised. Our work culture embraces work life balance and the team are passionate, friendly and work cohesively as a team. This is truly a fantastic place to work and an exciting time to join!
Close to Newtown train station and easily accessed by buses, getting here is a breeze.
2+ years experience working as a Chef within a busy pub or restaurant, assisting across all sections and food preparation will set you up for success.
