About Us

Groundstone Café is a busy café and catering business located in the heart of Orange. Alongside our daily café service, we cater weddings, corporate events and private functions throughout the Central West.

We're looking for an experienced Chef or Cook who is passionate about good food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistency, quality and teamwork.

About the Role

This is a full-time, hands-on role working alongside our kitchen team across café service, catering preparation and events.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard

• Assisting with daily preparation and kitchen organisation

• Maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards

• Working efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch services

• Assisting with catering and event preparation

• Contributing ideas for menu development and specials

• Managing stock rotation and minimising waste

• Supporting and mentoring junior staff where required

• Working closely with the Head Chef and Operations team

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Chef or Cook

• Has a minimum of 2+ years commercial kitchen experience

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Has strong organisational and time management skills

• Takes pride in presentation and consistency

• Has a good understanding of food safety requirements

• Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude

• Is available to work a flexible roster, including weekends

• Holds valid Australian work rights
