We are a growing contract food manufacturing business producing high-quality ready meals, foodservice components, and handheld retail products for national customers, alongside our own branded range.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team in a hands-on role on a four-day work week (across a range of shifts) to deliver high quality meals across our customers and brands. You will work in a structured kitchen environment where consistency, efficiency and reliability are valued.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, you will:
Support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with kitchen workflow and efficient operations.
Deliver quantity and consistency at scale in line with our food safety and quality standards.
Follow recipes and production schedules to meet daily output requirements.
Monitor ingredient quality and stock control, minimising waste and optimising efficiency.
Work collaboratively with all teams to maintain high culinary standards.
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with HACCP and ISO 22000.
About You
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen, production kitchen, or food manufacturing environment.
Bulk production experience preferred.80
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Good time management, excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
High attention to detail, consistency, and quality control.
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
A passion for food and commitment to continuous improvement.
