Family chef and housekeeper

About the role

Smithy (family) is seeking a talented and dedicated Family Chef and Housekeeper to in a part-time capacity based in Beecroft, NSW 2119 for 5-10 hours per week. This is a unique opportunity to work in a household environment, combining culinary expertise with domestic management responsibilities. You will play a vital role in maintaining the comfort, wellness and satisfaction of the household whilst delivering exceptional meals and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Planning, preparing and cooking nutritious, delicious and varied meals tailored to dietary preferences and requirements. We are looking for someone that has strong knowledge of healthy, anti inflammatory meals and loves meal prep.

2. Managing kitchen operations, including food procurement, storage and inventory management

3. Maintaining exceptional hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas

1. Optional - Also Laundering and caring for linens, clothing and household textiles and other support if that is a service offered.

What we're looking for

1. Proven professional experience as a chef or cook in a hospitality setting or household environment

2. Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a diverse range of cuisines and dishes

3. Demonstrated experience in housekeeping, domestic management or similar household roles

4. Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health standards

5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a domestic setting

6. Strong organisational and time management skills

7. Flexibility and adaptability to changing household needs and schedules

8. Professional and courteous manner with excellent interpersonal skills

9. Reliability and discretion in a private household environment

10. Willingness to learn and respond positively to feedback
