We are seeking a passionate, creative, and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our wedding couples and their guests while developing your skills within a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing environment.
Qualifications
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or a Diploma of Culinary Arts.
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and development of seasonal and event menus.
Produce high-quality dishes that meet both presentation and taste standards.
Ensure efficient kitchen operations while maintaining exceptional quality.
Oversee and support all kitchen stations during service.
Assist the Executive Chef with planning, coordinating, and directing food preparation as required.
Proactively resolve issues and maintain smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Support the training, mentoring, and supervision of kitchen staff and kitchen hands.
Assist with rostering, performance monitoring, and fostering a positive team culture.
Manage stock levels and order supplies as required.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative approach with colleagues and guests.
