We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our Kelmscott Team.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity currently exists for a Warehouse assistant to join the team at WA’s leading Steel & Aluminium Fencing & Gate manufacturer & supplier. This is a permanent full-time position with three months probation.

You MUST be able to work from 6am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday, available or overtime when required & alternate Saturday mornings 6am - 12pm are also required.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

Working in a fast paced environment, on a daily basis, your duties include warehousing and distribution of steel products using overhead cranes and forklifts.  You will also be required to operate metal folding, roll form and pressing machines, pick orders, unload and load steel products. 

Experience in a similar role or knowledge of fencing product is highly desirable but not essential. Punctuality, A strong work ethic & attention to detail are essential in this role.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience (one year min) operating Press/Roller/Plasma machines;

• Knowledge of steel (preferred)

• Previous overhead crane experience

• A current forklift license (this is essential)

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions;

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment;

• A proficient ‘can do’ attitude and honest work ethic;
