About the role

Based at Christmas Creek & reporting to the Branch Manager, you will lead the service team to ensure equipment inspections, servicing and repairs are completed to a high standard to support service demand.

Working on an FIFO basis, 8 days on and 6 days off. 

This challenging and diverse role offers a variety of work, both on and off the tools. 

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Coordinate equipment servicing & repairs in line with budget to maximise equipment availability & reliability
  • Lead and mentor your team in their day to day activities
  • Provide expert advice with diagnostics and customer requirements
  • Train and guide technicians on service requirements and procedures, including Baseplan
  • Ensure all necessary parts, consumables, tools, and equipment are available
  • Lead safety culture & compliance for team / branch
  • Conduct equipment servicing and repairs

Skills and experience

Along with sound mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills, our ideal candidate will have:

  • A mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience in leading teams (either directly or indirectly) and managing service demand)
  • Sound planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to problem solve and be flexible
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage cost in line with budgets
