Factory Floor Manager – Cabinet Manufacturing

About Us

LOOK CABINETS is a growing cabinetmaking and joinery company specialising in the manufacture and installation of high-quality residential and commercial cabinetry throughout South East Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Factory Floor Manager to oversee our production operations and lead our workshop team.

The Role

As Factory Floor Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our manufacturing facility. You will coordinate production schedules, manage staff, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise factory production staff.

• Coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and installation deadlines.

• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards.

• Conduct daily production planning and allocate resources effectively.

• Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.

• Train, mentor, and develop factory employees.

• Liaise with management, designers, installers, and suppliers.

• Monitor machinery, equipment maintenance, and factory housekeeping.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.

Skills & Experience

• Highly experience in cabinetmaking.

• Minimum 5-8 years of cabinetmaking experience required.

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a production environment.

• Minimum 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.

• Strong understanding of cabinet manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read and interpret plans and production drawings.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).

• Australian work rights are required for this position.
