Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive quotes for laser cutting, CNC machining, folding, and sheet metal fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for laser cutting, CNC machining, and fabrication jobs
• Interpret engineering drawings, DXF files, and technical specifications
• Calculate material usage, machine time, labour, and subcontract costs
• Liaise with clients to clarify project requirements and scope
• Work closely with production team to ensure accurate cost forecasting
• Maintain pricing database and update material/labour rates
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve quoting efficiency
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously

Key Requirements

• Experience in estimating within laser cutting or sheet metal industry
• Strong understanding of CNC processes and fabrication workflows
• Ability to read technical drawings and CAD files
• High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong communication and client interaction skills
• Experience with ERP or quoting software advantageous
• Background in fabrication, machining, or engineering highly regarded
