Advanced Sheet Metal is one of Melbourne's leading providers of flashing and rainwater products, roof ventilation products and general sheetmetal work in Clayton Victoria.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The company has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator to manufacture flashings and sheetmetal products. This position will primarily be 6am to 1.30pm with occasional overtime. 

Skills and experience

The ideal person must:

• have basic mathematical skills

• be willing to undertake physical tasks

• be able to lift up to 25 kg

• be able to work in a fast paced environment

• be punctual, reliable and willing to learn

• be able to communicate clearly

• ability to listen and follow instructions

• ability to multitask with high attention to detail

• perform quality checks to ensure all work is to the drawings provided

• take ownership of work

• flexible working hours during busy periods

• interact with customers

Desirable but not essential 

• experience in the plumbing or building industry

• forklift license

• ability to read technical drawings

• experience is preferred not essential in order to apply
