Sheet Metal Trades Assistant

SM Electrical Manufacturing is a Cameron Park based business specialising in the manufacture of Main Switchboards, Distribution Boards and Control Panels. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our growing Sheet Metal team.

 

Duties Include:

·         Loading/unloading trucks.

·         Goods inwards including marking off delivery dockets and packing stock onto racking.

·         Assist with monthly stock take.

·         Operate and maintain basic workshop equipment such as guillotines, drills, and grinders.

·         Assist with the movement, handling, and storage of sheet metal materials and finished products.

·         Work collaboratively with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.

·         Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

·         Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or workshop environment, preferably within the sheet metal industry.

·         Ability to use measuring tools, hand tools, and basic workshop equipment.

·         Willingness to learn sheet metal fabrication processes and switchboard manufacturing requirements.

·         Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

·         Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

·         Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
