EMS-WA is currently seeking a Competent Underground HV Electrician to perform services on underground Production and Exploration Drill Rigs.

About the Role:

• You will be Kalgoorlie Based but will be required to travel to sites to perform services and breakdowns and Production/ Exploration Drill Rigs U/G and on Surface which also includes On Call on schedule.

• Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible to monitor the status and condition of electrical equipment and advise the client/ supervisor of any concerns or problem areas and complete all statutory checks and documents required.

• You need to be a driven individual willing to perform your duties both locally and withing WA areas.

• You will be required to be self-sufficient but also be encouraged to discuss issues with your piers to resolve any issues that may occur.

• You will also assist in new and refurbished rig builds as required.

Skills & Experience:

• Western Australian Electrical Trade Certificate

• High Risk Certificate, WAH & F/LIFT ticket advantageous

• LVR/CPR (desirable)

• Demonstrated experience working within an underground mining environment.

• Minimum 1-2 years of underground mining electrical experience is required

• Knowledge and application of safe and reliable electrical installation and maintenance

• Current 'C' Class Driver's License (minimum)

• National Police Clearance (within 3 months)

• Must be able to pass DAS on request.

• Must be able to pass Pre- Employment Medical as required by employer.

• Current knowledge of Underground Production and Exploration Drills will be advantageous.

• Must be able to read and interpret machinery electrical schematics and be willing to perform task out of scope as required from time to time.

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
