McKay Drilling is an industry leading WA based, drilling company located in Wangara.
We are seeking a permanent full-time Industrial Painter to join our team and be a crucial part of the mining and drilling industry!
You will be responsible for painting, finishing and maintaining a wide variety of McKay Drilling equipment and vehicles.
The successful candidate will perform the work on the Company's assets in a safe, planned and effective manner. As a key team member, you will work collaboratively with the Maintenance and Operations departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that duty of care is exercised in all aspects of work activities.
Ensure compliance with Company WHS regulations.
Keeping the work area clean, professionally presented and maintained at all times.
Prepare surfaces to be coated using various methods such as abrasive coating, high pressure water washing or power wire brushing. However, most of the equipment has been sand blasted prior to coating.
Spray coatings such as polyurethane 2 pack paint, onto manufactured products to provide finished surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of painting equipment, work site and wash bay.
Maintain stock records relating to painting consumables and identify stock requirements on a timely basis through liaison with the purchasing and stores departments.
Regularly liaise with maintenance team regarding work progression.
Note - this role may change from time to time in order to meet the Company’s requirements.

Must-have Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Industrial Painter.
Service focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service across all communication channels.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent time management/organisational skills and ability to complete tasks within given timeframes and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.

With excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills, you will be able to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner. Additionally, you will have a proven ability to work in a physically demanding role under pressure.
