Technical Asset Specialist (Mechanical or Electrical)

At a glance:

Based at our premier Automated Case Picking site in Moorebank, Sydney, this role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal asset performance across a highly automated warehouse environment. You will join a newly formed team and work with advanced automation technology, making this an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about continuous improvement, technical leadership, and hands‑on problem solving.

Your Impact:

  • Ensure optimal performance and availability of automated warehouse assets across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity

  • Lead and support corrective maintenance, system modifications, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Provide technical leadership during system outages and emergency escalations

  • Analyse asset performance data to improve maintenance strategies, spares holdings, and system reliability

  • Support Root Cause Analysis activities and contribute to long‑term service and maintenance planning

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S standards and CMMS reporting requirements

What makes you a great fit?​

  • Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field (preferred)

  • Proven experience working with automated systems and strong electro‑mechanical fault‑finding skills

  • Proficiency with CMMS, WMS, WCS, and industry‑related software

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and drive improvement outcomes

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor technicians and collaborate across teams
