Mechanical Fitters

Premier People are working with WA’s leading engineering and mining contractors within fixed plant maintenance and shutdown operations. We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ongoing and upcoming works across multiple sites throughout Western Australia.

Roles will involve maintenance and shutdown works across fixed plant environments including crushers, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, mills, car dumpers and material handling systems. Scope of work will vary depending on site and client requirements, with opportunities across BHP, RTIO, Roy Hill, FMG and various Goldfields sites.

Scope of Work May Include:

• Planned and unplanned fixed plant maintenance
• Shutdown execution and component change outs
• Pulleys, gearboxes and bearing replacements
• Laser shaft alignment
• Conveyor systems, crushers and mills
• Fault finding and mechanical repairs

Essential Requirements:

• Australian Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (or recognised RPL)
• Strong fixed plant maintenance or shutdown experience
• Strong safety focus and team based approach
• Working at Heights (within 2 years)
• Confined Spaces (within 2 years)
• Gas Testing Atmospheres (within 2 years)
• Basic Fire (within 2 years)
• White Card – physical card (not certificate)
• Current driver’s licence
• Full Australian working rights – no visa limitations

Preferred:

• Experience on Tier 1 WA mining sites
• MSIC
• HRWL (EWP, LF or other relevant tickets)
