The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and capable Senior or Lead Mechanical Engineer – Project Delivery to join our team. This is a hands-on senior role where you will take ownership of project delivery outcomes, work directly with major resources clients, and bring both technical rigour and coordination capability to a high-performing team. You will manage project activities end-to-end, lead technical inputs across disciplines, and be a key point of accountability for quality and client outcomes.
Position Overview
Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to execution
Manage project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and progress tracking
Coordinate inputs across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure quality and timely delivery
Apply engineering expertise to resolve design issues, and provide technical direction to project teams
Prepare and review technical documentation, scopes of work, reports and project deliverables
Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout project delivery
Monitor project risks, actions and priorities, and contribute to mitigation strategies
Support procurement, contractor coordination and construction/implementation activities where required
Ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant standards, client requirements and internal quality procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement and the delivery of practical, cost-effective engineering solutions
About You
Degree-qualified in Engineering, with a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience
Demonstrated experience in engineering design and project delivery within the minerals processing field
Capacity and interest to undertake short-term site-based assignments in support of project delivery (typically infrequent)
Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Sound technical understanding and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple deliverables
Experience with project documentation, scheduling, reporting and stakeholder coordination
Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach
Commitment to safety, quality and client service
Registered or working toward CPEng status (desirable)
