Heavy Diesel Leading Hand

Earn $250-350K+ as a Leading Hand managing Heavy diesel maintenance crews across WA mine sites - without the cash flow stress or admin headaches of running your own contracting business.

We're looking for experienced HD mechanics to play a pivotal role at Blue Tongue. You'll lead a crew of 5-15 mechanics across WA mine sites and participate in a profit-sharing model directly linked to your crew size. You'll train and supervise your crew while building key relationships with site managers and maintenance supervisors.

Operate Like a Subcontractor Without the Risk:

• $250-350K+ annually - your rate ($85-90/hr) + $4-6/hr per crew member you supervise
• Qualified crew supplied - 5-15 mechanics provided, vetted, and ready to work (or bring your own if you prefer)
• Zero admin - no contracts, invoicing, chasing payments, compliance paperwork
• Full backend support - HR, payroll, compliance, crew replacement all handled
• No cash flow stress - we cover weekly payroll via credit line
• No insurance costs - all coverage included (save $20-30K/year)
• You control your income - more crew = more earnings

The Role:

• Lead a crew of 5-15 mechanics and earn a percentage per hour per crew member
• Win and secure work - build relationships with site managers and maintenance supervisors to generate contracts
• Client liaison - maintain strong relationships to win repeat business and referrals
• Crew supervision - daily management, ensure work meets site standards and safety requirements
• Train and develop - upskill your crew, ensure quality and productivity
• Locations - Pilbara and Goldfields mine sites (FIFO from Perth)

What We're Looking For:

• Trade qualified HD mechanic
• 6-8+ years mining maintenance experience
• Proven supervision/leadership experience
• Experience training or leading multicultural crews
