About the role

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technician is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and high-quality maintenance across concentrator equipment at Ernest Henry.

This role plays a key part in ensuring plant availability by executing maintenance activities, identifying faults and supporting continuous improvement across mill maintenance operations. You will work as part of a well-established team, contributing to both planned and breakdown maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

Executing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and lubrication systems
Supporting shutdowns, rebuilds and maintenance campaigns
Maintaining accurate records within CMMS systems
Working closely with operations to minimise downtime
Upholding strong safety and compliance standards

About you

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Mechanical Technician who can contribute to team performance and bring solid maintenance capability.

The ideal candidate will have:

A mechanical trade qualification
Experience in mining, processing or heavy industry environments
Strong hands on fault finding and problem-solving skills
Exposure to fixed plant or concentrator equipment (preferred)
Experience with filter presses, slurry systems or lubrication systems (advantageous)
Ability to work effectively across a rotating roster including nights
Strong team mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
