The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. About the role:

As NAC continues to grow, we are now seeking experienced Mobile Maintenance Diesel Fitters (Diesel Fitting Trade) to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mobile Maintenance Diesel Fitter plays a pivotal role in performing safe & effective mobile machinery maintenance and delivering machine availability targets.

What you will do:

Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance activities on a wide range of Caterpillar, Hitachi & Letourneau heavy earthmoving machinery
Conduct machine rebuilds across the mining fleet
Diagnostics and fault finding to determine developing issues & existing problems
Ensure the workplace cleanliness is always kept to a high standard
Comply with New Hope Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times

To be considered for these opportunities you will bring:

Diesel Fitting Trade Qualifications
Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain)
Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines preferable
Queensland driver’s licence (manual)
Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)
