ABOUT US

The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.

We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane. The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join the Surface Fixed Plant Maintenance team.  You will assist with the coordination of the maintenance and repair of fixed plant equipment, ensuring if operates effectively efficiently and safely.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of maintenance workers of fixed plant equipment (including conveyors, grinding mills, compressors, filters, hydrauic components, water treatment and associated pumps) ensuring they have necessary resources to complete the work.

• Assisting with scheduling of maintenance activities including predictive, preventative maintenance and shutdowns.

• Monitoring of equipment performance to ensure issues are addressed promptly and/or escalated for repairs.

• Ensuring safety procedures are adhered to all times and actively engaging in improvement initiatives.

• Providing training and mentoring of team members

• Ensuring compliance with CSA asset management framework

ABOUT YOU

• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience with Surface Mechanical Fixed Plant mining equipment

• Demonstrated Leadership experience, supervising, motivating and mentoring maintenance teams

• HIgh Risk Work licences (forklift and EWP)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and team-based work.

ROSTER

•  This position is offered on a Drive in Drive out (DIDO) or Residential options. 7/7 Roster Day Shift Only.

• If you are interested in residential, relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to assist you in relocating to Cobar.

• Candidates interested in DIDO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp.
