ABOUT THE ROLE
Carpenters – you will play a key, hands on role for our Rio Tinto Amrun Dome Workshop Installation Project. Your role will include carpentry, concreting and general earth works. Concreting experience is highly advantageous.
Ideally you will have several years of experience in similar environments.
This is a 2&1 FIFO opportunity offering variety, and the chance to grow your trade while enjoying the benefits of a casual contract for an ongoing project.
ABOUT YOU
Ideally, you’ll have a few years of experience in similar heavy industrial, mining, or construction environments.
You will also have the following qualifications, licenses, tickets and training:
Trade Certificate – Carpenter (Mandatory) + industrial experience
Construction Card
Excavator Ticket (Advantage)
QLD Coal Board Medical or Respiratory Health Surveillance (MMQ) Medical (Advantageous)
G1 Apply Risk Management Certificate (Advantageous)
If you are an individual who is
Collaborative with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
Maintains a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices within mining environments
Can work autonomously as well as part of a crew
Excellent at problem-solving and has excellent attention to detail

Our Weipa operation supports a permanent residential workforce of 100+ people, complemented by a FIFO contingent during shutdown and project periods. We deliver multi-disciplinary services across mechanical, civil, electrical and plumbing trades, supported by engineering, HSE, fleet and administrative teams.
We work predominantly with Rio Tinto, while also supporting local industry and community through construction and maintenance services. The operation is backed by our corporate office on the Sunshine Coast.
