Rope Access Boilermakers (IRATA L1 & L2) - Pilbara Shutdown
 
An established and highly regarded Tier-1 contractor is seeking Rope Access Boilermakers (IRATA Level 1 & Level 2) to support a key shutdown project across a major iron ore operation in the Pilbara.
 
Known for delivering high-quality maintenance and shutdown services across WA's mining sector, this contractor offers consistent project work, a strong safety culture, and opportunities for ongoing engagements with performance-driven teams.
 
Project Overview

• Start Date: Early July
• Duration: 18-day shutdown (inclusive of stand down)
• Scope: Liner Replacement
• Location: Pilbara WA

Roster & Hours

• 12-hour shifts
• Day and Night shift availability

Pay Rates (Flat/Casual)

• IRATA Level 1:
  • $92.50/hr (Day Shift)
  • $96.25/hr (Night Shift)
    
    
• IRATA Level 2:
  • $97.50/hr (Day Shift)
  • $101.25/hr (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out liner replacement works using rope access techniques
• Perform structural and mechanical maintenance on fixed plant equipment
• Interpret drawings and complete fabrication, repair, and installation tasks
• Work at heights in compliance with IRATA and site safety standards
• Conduct inspections, fault finding, and reporting on plant components
• Collaborate with shutdown crews to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and equipment care

Requirements

• Current IRATA Level 1 or Level 2 certification
• Trade qualification - Boilermaker / Fabrication
• Valid IRATA Ticket
• Logbook within 6 months
• WAH/CFS Ticket
• Fire Ticket
• White Card
• PEM within 12 months
• AOD within 28 days
• Demonstrated experience in shutdown and mining environment
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and site requirements
