Mechanical Fitter FIFO

Recruitment Vision is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters for an exciting FIFO opportunity with a well-established and industry-leading mining operation in Northern South Australia.

If you are a self-motivated Maintenance Fitter with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision, we would like to hear from you. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative, breakdown and corrective maintenance across a range of fixed plant, processing equipment and site infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance activities
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and equipment failures
• Conducting inspections and condition monitoring of plant equipment
• Completing shutdown and project maintenance work as required
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
• Participating in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and safety initiatives
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance personnel to minimise downtime

About You To be considered for this position, you will possess:

• Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years' recent experience in a Maintenance Fitter role, preferably within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing or processing environments
• Current Driver's Licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and positive attitude towards work

Highly Regarded The following qualifications and experience will be highly advantageous:

• Confined Space Entry and Gas Testing
• Working at Heights
• Poly Welding and Electrofusion qualifications
• Forklift Licence (LF)
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
• Experience working in remote mining environments
• Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, crushers, processing equipment and fixed plant assets
