Exciting Career Opportunities – Mechanical/Fixed Plant Fitters

Mobilise Group is gearing up for major projects, shutdowns, and ongoing maintenance works in Mount Isa and surrounding areas, and are seeking experienced Mechanical/Fixed Plant Fitters to join our growing team.

Local Mount Isa applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with current mine site access or previous experience working in the Northwest Queensland region will be highly regarded. Immediate starts are available for applicants holding current Mount Isa mine site access and a valid Cardax card.

FIFO opportunities are also available for suitably experienced tradespeople based in Townsville, Cairns or Brisbane.

Roles & Experience Sought

• Mechanical / Fixed Plant Fitters – Proven experience in fixed plant installation and maintenance, including material handling systems such as conveyors, crushers, screens and chutes.

What’s on Offer

• 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster

• Potential for rotating day and night shifts

• Long-term project opportunities with a reputable local contracting firm

Key Requirements

• Relevant trade qualifications

• Mount Isa mine site access (preferred but not essential)

• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing

• Strong commitment to safety, compliance and OH&S practices

• Working at heights and confined space competencies (Mandatory)

• Driver’s licence mandatory (manual preferred but not essential)

• Medium rigid and above licence (highly desirable)

Successful applicants must meet all site access requirements, including pre-employment medicals, inductions, and mandatory training at all mines we currently service in the Mount Isa mineral province.
