Join a leading national Plant hire company supporting major infrastructure, construction, and civil projects. We’re looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic to service and maintain a modern fleet of heavy equipment.

Our client is a well-established and growing plant hire provider, supplying reliable, high-performance machinery to projects across Australia. With a strong national presence, they serve tier-one contractors, government agencies, and private clients.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant equipment
Conduct diagnostics and fault-finding on mechanical and hydraulic systems
Carry out breakdown repairs on-site or in the field as needed
Work with service coordinators to manage workloads and parts ordering
Maintain service records and complete job documentation accurately
Perform inspections and testing on equipment before and after hire

What You’ll Need

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Plant Fitter / Diesel Mechanic or similar)
Minimum 2 years' experience working on heavy plant, mobile cranes, civil machinery or similar equipment
Solid understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
Current Driver’s Licence – Essential
Welding or fabrication skills desirable
Ability to travel for remote or site-based servicing work
Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
