We are currently seeking experienced Blast Painters for upcoming shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and project work across Karratha, Parrsboro, Tom Price and surrounding Pilbara locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface preparation through abrasive blasting and cleaning
• Apply industrial protective coatings and paint systems
• Mix paints and coatings to required specifications
• Operate blasting and painting equipment safely and effectively
• Apply coatings using spray, brush and roller techniques
• Conduct quality inspections of completed work
• Ensure all coatings meet client specifications and industry standards
• Maintain accurate safety and quality documentation
Essential Requirements
• Trade Certificate in Painting & Decorating or demonstrated industrial coating experience
• Ability to pass a Painting VOC if required
• Current Working at Heights (within 3 years)
• Current Confined Space Entry (within 3 years)
• Basic Fire (within 4 years)
• Construction White Card
• Valid Australian Driver's License
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Proof of Right to Work in Australia

Highly Regarded

• ICATS Certification
• Airless Spray Experience
• Previous mining and shutdown experience
• Rio Tinto, BHP or FMG inductions

Project Duration & Work Type
These opportunities are primarily project, shutdown and maintenance-based assignments across the Pilbara region.
Work may be offered on a FIFO or local basis depending on project requirements and workforce demand. While these positions are not guaranteed ongoing roles, successful candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability and a commitment to safety may be considered for future shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and project opportunities with Tarni Resources.
