HauLec is a specialist electrical service provider operating in the NSW coalfields. We supply labour, technical support and parts to customers in the Hunter Valley, Gunnedah & Mudgee regions. We specialise in the service and support of Electric drive mobile equipment and are passionate about the work we do.

Qualifications & experience

• Cert 3 electro-technology - Electrician

• Electrical Supervisors/Contractors Licence

• 2 year + experience on mobile mining equipment. Rail & other heavy industries can be considered.

• OEM experience highly regarded.

• HV Switching ticket

• Current coal board medical (Preferred)

• First aid/CPR/Low voltage rescue.

• High risk work licences (Preferred)

• Must have right to work in Australia, visa positions are not available. 

Tasks & responsibilities

• Maintenance & breakdown works on High Voltage mining equipment, including but not limited to Komatsu, Hitachi, Letourneau, Liebherr, Unit Rig.

• Maintenance of mining support equipment such as 2-ways, collision avoidance systems, fleet management/dispatch systems.

• Air conditioning servicing and repairs. 

• Compile service reports & interact with customers.

• Willingness to work away from home when required.

• Ability to work safely & efficiently in breakdown situations.

• Maintain safety standards at all times including: Adhering to site PPE requirements - Completing take 5's - Completing JSA's for complex tasks - Reporting & rectifying workplace hazards.
