Heavy Diesel Fitter Wanted – 77 Day Shift Only

The Role

We're seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team at Caval Ridge Mine, maintaining our low-houred, near-new fleet of dozers, graders, excavators, loaders, water trucks and ancillary plant. This is long-term, ongoing work for the right person on an even-time day shift roster, working alongside a small, experienced crew.

It's site-based field and breakdown work — keeping our gear safe, reliable and on the job. Day to day, you'll be:

• Carrying out scheduled servicing — oil changes, filters, inspections and component replacements

• Running diagnostics, fault-finding and rectification

• Troubleshooting breakdowns in the field and returning equipment to service

• Completing maintenance records accurately and on time

• Participating in hazard identification, risk assessments, JHAs and SWPs

Requirements

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter / Mechanic (Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent)

• Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment (coal mine site experience highly preferred)

• Current QLD Health Assessment (Coal Board Medical)

• Australian Driver's Licence

• Standard 11 and BMA Core Inductions (highly preferred)

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol screening

• Strong Safety Commitment

• Good team player, pride in your work, and a can-do attitude are a must
