Join a New Mining Operation Backed by Long-Term Stability MacKellar is growing its operations in partnership with Aeris Resources and is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to support maintenance activities at our mining project near Nyngan, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor at the early stages of a long-term operation, working on a modern fleet alongside a skilled maintenance team committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
With an even-time 7/7 roster, camp accommodation and meals provided, and permanent employment on offer, this role delivers both career stability and lifestyle balance.

The Role

As a Diesel Fitter, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a large fleet of mining equipment. Working within a collaborative maintenance team, you'll carry out both scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs to keep production moving.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out effective repairs
  • Conducting inspections and identifying potential issues before they impact production
  • Completing maintenance documentation and service records accurately
  • Maintaining high safety standards and following site procedures
  • Working collaboratively with operators and fellow tradespeople to maximise fleet availability
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent
  • Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving, mining, civil, or construction equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • A proactive approach to safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work a rotating day and night shift roster
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Experience working in a mining environment will be highly regarded
