About Tronox

Tronox is the world’s leading vertically integrated producer of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) — the pigment that brings brightness, durability and colour to products you use every day. With 6,500 people across 12 countries, we transform natural resources into materials that enhance lives and support a more sustainable world.

We’re driven by:

  • Safety & sustainability at the core of everything we do

  • Innovation and collaboration to solve real operational challenges

  • Growth and development for every employee

  • Global strength with local impact, powered by diverse teams

About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, driven Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of our three‑year Graduate Program.

This role offers rotations across departments and multiple Tronox sites, giving you broad exposure to our full value chain — from mining to processing to final pigment production. To get the most out of the program, you’ll need to be open to rotating between locations for periods of your program.

As our Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will complete your first rotation of approximately 12 months, at our Kwinana Pigment Plant. Subsequent rotations could be at any of our sites based across Western Australia and New South Wales. All of our Australian locations can be viewed on our website.

Who is Tronox?

If you haven’t heard of us yet — you’re not alone. But you’ll be glad you found us.

We’re Australia’s only titanium dioxide pigment producer, and we’ve been doing it for 60 years. Unlike many miners who stop at extraction, we take our product all the way downstream.

We’re big enough to offer world‑class operations, but small enough that you’ll never feel like just a number.

What You’ll Do

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be hands‑on from day one. We believe the most effective way for you to learn about our business is to be immersed in our operational activities from the start. You will therefore get the chance to immediately apply the knowledge you’ve gained at university to our manufacturing and mining environments

This is a role where you’ll learn fast, think critically and see the impact of your work every day.

Why Join Tronox?

  • Structured 3‑year rotational program

  • Exposure to our entire value chain — from mine to final product

  • Residential or drive‑in/drive‑out sites (no FIFO required)

  • Nine‑day fortnight for great work–life balance

  • Health & wellness programs, social clubs and volunteering

  • Competitive salary + eligibility for the Tronox bonus scheme

Are You Eligible?

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Hold (or will soon complete) a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field

  • Graduated within the last 2 years or will graduate by end of 2026

  • Are excited by the idea of rotating across departments and sites

  • Are eager to learn, grow and get involved
