What You will Be Working On

Maintain and repair a diverse fleet of underground mining equipment and civils including but not limited to:

Loaders & Trucks

• Boggers: CAT & Sandvik Underground Loaders

• Underground Trucks: CAT, Sandvik, Atlas

• Articulated Trucks

Drills

• Long Hole Drills • Twin Boom Jumbos• Single Boom Jumbos• Cable Bolters

Other Equipment

• Light Vehicles (LVs) • Epiroc & Normet support gear

You'll diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance in demanding underground conditions.

You will also have strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform both scheduled and reactive maintenance on cutting-edge underground mining gear including Atlas, Epiroc, Sandvik, and Normet equipment

• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and deliver effective repair solutions

• Ensure all machinery meets the highest standards of safety and performance

• Collaborate with a skilled maintenance team to maximise uptime and efficiency

• Champion safety by strictly following protocols and promoting a safe work culture

• Drive innovation by contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate III (or equivalent) in Heavy Duty Mechanics Mobile Plant- Australian recognized| AUR31220 Or Equivalent

• Proven underground mining experience - Highly regarded

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• FIFO experience highly regarded

• Safety-focused mindset and team spirit

• You must currently be living in Australia and have full Australian working rights

• National Police Check - Clean and current or able to obtain

• Highly motivated to work in a challenging underground environment
