About the role
Tetris Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Smithfield, NSW. This is a full-time position for afternoon shift that will see you play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing equipment. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring our machinery operates at peak performance to support our production goals.
Candidates one for dayshift and one for afternoon shift o/t available.
What you'll be doing
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of industrial machinery and equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement effective solutions
Perform routine inspections, servicing and repairs to keep equipment running smoothly
Collaborate with the production team to minimise downtime and maintain high levels of operational efficiency
Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken and regularly report on equipment performance
Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
Certificate III in Fitting is required for this position
Extensive experience (5+ years) working as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and rectify mechanical issues
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools and workshop equipment
Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
Australian permanent resident or citizen status required
