About the role

J Belton Painting and Decorating is hiring experienced painters and apprentices to join our talented team in Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects within the painting and decorating industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, and priming

2. Applying paint, varnish, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces

3. Mixing and matching paint colours to client specifications

4. Ensuring a clean, safe, and organised work environment

5. Mentoring and training apprentices in painting and decorating techniques

6. Collaborating with the project team to deliver high-quality results

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a painter or apprentice, with a strong understanding of painting and decorating techniques

2. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions

4. Strong problem-solving and communication skills

5. A willingness to learn and continuously improve your skills

6. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
