Novaskill is excited to offer an opportunity for out-of-trade 2nd to 4th year painting apprentices ready to re-enter the industry, gain practical experience, and complete their Certificate III qualification with a leading painting and decorating employer.

Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces with precision and care
Apply a variety of decorative finishes and coatings
Use painting tools and equipment safely and effectively
Understand workplace health and safety practices in painting environments
Read and interpret job specifications and plans accurately
Manage materials and resources efficiently on-site
Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and team members
A nationally recognised Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
Practical experience working alongside skilled tradespeople
Confidence in delivering high-quality painting and decorating work
Exposure to industry best practices and safety standards
Clear pathways for career progression in painting, decorating, or related trades
Previous painting apprenticeship experience (2nd to 4th year) — out-of-trade candidates encouraged to apply
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Good manual dexterity and physical fitness for trade work
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques
Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing your qualification
Ability to work safely and collaboratively in a team environment
Honest, dependable, and motivated to restart your trade career
Organised and safety-conscious
Eager to develop your skills and complete your apprenticeship
Able to balance training and practical work responsibilities
Positive and ready to contribute to a professional team
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
Own reliable transport is preferred
