Sheet Metal Fabricator (Cert III or Cert IV)

Position Overview

As an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of precision-engineered components and assemblies in a well-equipped, modern workshop environment.

Working from detailed engineering drawings, you will manufacture products using laser-cut and CNC-machined components, ensuring high levels of accuracy, fit-up, and overall finish. The role requires a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and the ability to work independently to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from engineering and workshop drawings to produce accurate fabricated components

• Experienced in MIG and TIG welding on Stainless and Aluminium

• Work with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium or other materials as required

• Fit, assemble, and fabricate components from laser cut and machined parts

• Carry out grinding, deburring, and finishing to a high standard

• Program, Set & Operate Brake Press (Advantage)

• Maintain dimensional accuracy and alignment in line with tolerances

• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to team outcomes

• Follow Quality Management System and Workplace Health and Safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications

• Sheet Metal/Boilermaker (Cert III/IV) Trade Qualifications

• Welding Certificates an advantage
